Apopka City Commissioner Doug Bankson announced Wednesday, February16, at the City Council meeting that he will run for Florida House District 39 in the fall election. Bankson is in his second term as a city commissioner and if he is elected to the Florida House of Representatives, he will resign as a city commissioner.
