Visitors to Wekiwa Springs State Park now have a new overnight option with the opening of four glamping tents in the park’s campground.
Each tent sleeps up to three adults and includes a queen-size bed, twin futon, air conditioning and heat, bed linens, a four-cup coffee maker and an ice chest, according to a Wednesday announcement. Outside, each site has a picnic table, fire pit with grill ring and freshwater spigot.
The opening follows an announcement in July that Wekiwa Springs would introduce glamping accommodations this fall. Glamping – a combination of “glamorous” and “camping” – offers some of the comforts associated with conventional lodging while allowing guests to stay in an outdoor setting.
The tents are located within the campground at Wekiwa Springs State Park, which offers hiking and bicycling trails, horseback riding, wildlife viewing and canoe and kayak rentals. The park is home to wildlife such as white-tailed deer, wild turkeys and Sherman’s fox squirrels.
Adventures Unbound by Guest Services manage camping and outdoor recreation rentals at Wekiwa Springs.
Reservations for the new tents are now available through Wekiwa Springs Adventures. As of Thursday morning, Wekiwa Springs Adventures listed rates of $119 per night Sunday through Thursday and $169 per night Friday and Saturday for most available dates in October and November. Rates increase on some late-November dates. A $7 nightly electric fee is not included in the rate, but it does include park admission.
Market research firm Grand View Research estimated the North American glamping market at $993.2 million in 2025. The firm projects the market will more than double by 2033.
