The City Council unanimously approved the appointment of Gladymir Ortega as Apopka’s new finance director on Wednesday, January 20. Ortega replaces Jamie Roberson, who served more than two years in the position. Ortega comes to Apopka after serving as the comptroller for the Osceola County clerk of the court. She began in her new job on Thursday, January 21.
