The Apopka Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Business After Hours event Thursday, Aug. 27, benefiting a student leadership program at Wekiva High School.
The event will run from 6-8 p.m. at Hurricane Grill & Wings Apopka, 2209 E. Semoran Blvd. It is open to local business owners, professionals and community leaders interested in networking and making connections within the Apopka business community.
A portion of checks during the event will be donated to Lighthouse Leaders, a student-led program at Wekiva High. The program promotes student leadership, mental-health advocacy and an inclusive school environment under the guidance of school social worker Taylor McGowan.
Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards and may invite colleagues. The chamber has requested that participants RSVP in advance.
