On Tuesday, June 20, the city of Apopka’s Parks and Recreation Department hosted a ribbon cutting to celebrate the renovations to the Fran Carlton Center including new flooring, lighting, updated kitchen and bathrooms, and new furniture.
Fran Carlton herself was on hand to help with the ribbon cutting. The community center is named after Carlton, a former state representative who helped secure funding for the building in the 1980’s.
