The Publix supermarket being built at the southwest corner of the intersection of Kelly Park Road and Plymouth-Sorrento Road in Apopka is scheduled to open on August 19, according to the Publix corporate website. This Publix will be at Kelly Park Crossing.
Located at 3080 W. Kelly Park Rd., Apopka, the supermarket will be one of three that Publix plans on opening on that day. The other two are in Tampa and Miami. A new Publix will open on August 12 on South Orange Avenue in Orlando.
The new Apopka store will have a drive-through pharmacy, a liquor store, self-checkout registers, and both an indoor and outdoor seating area upstairs. It will be the third Publix supermarket with an Apopka address. One Apopka Publix is at 1545 Rock Springs Road, while the other is at 540 S. Hunt Club Blvd., which is located in Seminole County.
Via email, a Publix spokesman said that the company cannot confirm any of the tenants that will occupy outparcels on the property, although a Papa John’s Pizza outlet is listed on the leasing company’s website as occupying one of the four storefronts that are nearing completion in two buildings on the same parcel of land as the Publix.
