KENNETH ALAN NELSON, 79, of Zellwood, passed away on November 13, 2023. Mr. Nelson was born on June 14, 1944, in Queens, New York, to the late Fredrick and Beatrice Nelson. His brother Jerry Nelson precede him in death. He is survived by his loving wife, Ellie Nelson; children, Tammy Nelson, Debbie Clark and Audra (Joe) Rohland; siblings, twin brother Jimmy Nelson; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; loved ones and friends.

AUSTIN J TYLER BOYD, 21, of Apopka, passed away November 7, 2023, in San Diego, California. Austin proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. He is survived by his parents, Chris Boyd and Lindsey Boyd; grandparents, Terri Hurst (John), Robert Bass (Connie), Gina Boyd, William Burnside; aunt, Brandy Taylor (Chris); and uncle, Kenneth Burnside.

JOSEPH McGUIRE, 69, Apopka, died Wednesday, November 15. He was a retired auto mechanic. Survivors: wife of 50 years, Christina McGuire; daughter, Amy (Bryan) Vaughan; son, Joseph (Wendy) McGuire, Jr; sisters, Helen McGuire, Norma Schmidt; brother, Kevin McGuire; mother-in-law, Connie (Harris) Kaplan; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; nieces and nephews.

DOROTHEA JUNE FETTERS, “June”, 86, to all her friends and family, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2023. June was predeceased by her son, James Travis Chapman; husband, Claire Fetters; siblings, Ruby
Kirtley and James T. Keeling. She is survived by her sister Polly Green of Wylie, Texas; son, Victor Chapman and his wife Amanda Chapman of Apopka, 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and by extended family members.

LEMUEL GARRY MILLER of Apopka, passed away on November 7, 2023, in his family home surrounded by his loving family. Garry leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Ellen; daughters, Dawn Miller and Connie (Kevin) Hale; siblings, Ann, Richelle, Kim, Tony, and Robert; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandson. He is preceded in death by his parents Dorothy Doss and Shine Miller.

Carl Jackson Huggins (Gramps) lived a blessed life of 92 years. He was born and raised here in Apopka. He always called it the “Big Potato”. On November 10, 2023 God sent his Angels to come and take him home. He passed peacefully surrounded by all his loved ones. He has now joined his mother Alvie, father Phillip, three brothers Jimmy, Bill (Doris) and Bobby (Wynette); as well as many others who passed before him. Carl is survived by his sister Gladys; daughters Angel (Buddy), Deborah (Tom), Penny, Carolyn (Jimmy) and Janice; sons Phil (Janice), Danny, Jackie (Ashley); 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren.

GRACE VIRGINIA HOGAN, 77, of Apopka, Florida passed away on November 05, 2023. Mrs. Hogan was born on December 15, 1945 in Bonifay, Florida. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Oscar Hogan and son Phillip Hogan. She is survived by her children David Hogan, Gale Smallwood, Tina (Roger) Smallwood and Lisa Smallwood; grandchildren Michelle, Steven, D.J., Jessica and Ryan; great grandchildren Hailey, Sam, Kailey, Liam, Ethan, Emma, Nathan and Sophia; great great grandchildren Samantha and Jordyn. She’ll be dearly missed by her loved ones and friends.

DOROTHEA JUNE FETTERS, “June” to all her friends and family, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2023 after learning a week earlier that she had pancreatic cancer. June was a breast cancer survivor since 1990. June was 86 years old. June was predeceased by her son James Travis Chapman, her husband, Claire Fetters, her sister Ruby Kirtley and brother James T. Keeling. She is survived by her sister Polly Green of Wylie, Texas, son Victor Chapman and his wife Amanda Chapman of Apopka, Florida, grandchildren Audrey Rierson, Alexandria Chapman and Aiden James Chapman and greatgrandchildren Grace Rierson and Jack Rierson and by extended family members.

JACKI K. KIFER, 77, of Apopka, Florida passed away on October 30, 2023. Ms. Kifer was born on April 13, 1946 in Elberfield, Indiana to the late Arkel and Bernice Kifer. Ms. Kifer is preceded in death by her brother Archie Kifer. She is survived by her longtime partner Larry Soloman; children Teri (Billy) Brockenbrough and Jay Davis; siblings Bruce Kifer and Patty Holland; 4 grandchildren as well as her great granddaughter.

BELLA LETICIA GAYBOR RIZZO, 66, of Apopka, Florida passed away on October 23, 2023. Mrs. Rizzo was born on July 15, 1957 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Mrs. Bella is preceded in death by her parents Efrain A Gaibor and Bella R Rizzo; son Jose Antonio Anchundia; as well as her brother Gabriel Gaibor. She is survived by her loving husband Antonio J Anchundia; children Omar A Anchundia, Oscar A Anchundia, Olger J Anchundia and Jesus O Anchundia; siblings Carlos Gaibor, Rosa Gaibor, Hector Gaibor and Ana De Jesus Gaibor; 6 grandchildren; as well as in-law’s Alda Aguilar and Rianna Vasquez and dearest friend Yesenia Rios.

MARILYN “LYNNE” ALDERMAN, 89 of Apopka died on October 23, 2023. Her greatest joy was raising her 11 children. She retired from Seminole County Schools where she worked for many years as a school bus driver. Lynne was a devoted Roman Catholic and member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church since 1972. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Survivors: daughters, Sherrie (Walter Golston), Julie (David Hebert), of Apopka, Traci, of Spring Hill, TN and sons, Daryl (Laura), and Shawn of Apopka, Robert (Maricel) of Casselberry, and Jody (Miriam) of Virginia Beach, VA., 13 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews]

GRACE VIRGINIA HOGAN, 77, of Apopka, Florida passed away on November 5, 2023. Mrs. Hogan was born on December 15, 1945 in Bonifay, Florida. MARGARET R SIKES, 79, of Zellwood passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. She was born on October 25, 1944. In Amherst, Virgina Married to Gene Sikes on June 8, 1965. She was a great Mom and was a wonderful Mimi to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she absolutely adored! She is survived by her husband, Gene Sikes, her daughter Deanie (Bruce) Halverson, her grandson’s Michael(Angela) Halverson, Brandon(Amber) Halverson, 2 great grandsons, Henry & Hudson Halverson. sister, Suzanne(Jack)Parmentier and brother, Charles Brockenbrough. She is predeceased by her brother Bill Brockenbrough and his wife Barbara.
