Man shot in Apopka, hospitalized in stable condition

On March 9, 2024, at approximately 11:36 am, the Apopka Police Department responded to calls reporting shots fired in the vicinity of Myrtle Street and Lake Avenue.

Upon the arrival of patrol officers, they discovered a 33-year-old male inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds. The victim has been transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.

At present, members of the Crime Scene Unit and investigators are actively examining the scene to gather information about the incident. While it is still early in the investigation, preliminary findings suggest that this is an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the community.

The investigation remains ongoing, and updates will be provided as new information emerges.
