A man was arrested and charged with three felony counts of attempted homicide after he intentionally struck three victims with his vehicle, according to Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Francisco Baza Lopez, 53, was arrested on Tuesday, January 10, after sheriff’s deputies responded to the 300 block of Lake Annie Drive in unincorporated Apopka.

“Francisco Lopez committed the offense of attempted homicide by intentionally hitting (REDACTED) with his vehicle. Francisco’s actions went beyond just thinking or talking about it. Francisco acted with a premeditated design to kill (REDACTED).  Witness on scene and video footage show Francisco accelerating his vehicle towards (REDACTED) and not stopping until the vehicle made contact with (REDACTED). The act would have resulted in the death of (REDACTED) except that witnesses prevented Francisco from killing (REDACTED),” according to the OCSO arrest affidavit regarding each of the three victims.
