Key Points

The first freeze in four years hit Apopka and much of Central Florida Sunday, January 30, as temperatures dropped to 28 degrees at the University of Florida’s Institute for Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) campus on Binion Road in Apopka. Here, small icicles form on wire and a fence after sprinklers ran at a foliage nursery about a mile or so from the IFAS campus.
