BETTY JOYCE (MORA) BLUME, 91, of Apopka, Florida passed away on June 23. Mrs. Blume was born on May 16, 1932 in Defuniak Springs, Florida. Mrs. Blume is survived by her children Joyce Johnson, Peggy Kelley, Brenda Nason, Wanda Jones and Buddy Mora; as well as 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She will be missed by her many loved ones and friends.

RALPH PEREZ, 79, of Apopka, Florida passed away on June 26. Mr. Perez was born on February 16, 1944 in the Bronx, New York. He was preceded in death by his son Abriam L. Perez. Mr. Perez is survived by his children Christopher Bruno, Hiram Perez and Joshua Perez; 11 grandchildren; as well as extended family, loved ones and friends

CONRAD TWEEDY of Apopka, Florida passed away on Monday, June 19. Survivors are father, Ernest Chester Tweedy Jr (Rachel Sowders), grandparents, Ernest Chester Tweedy Sr (Nora Jackson Tweedy) and Bessie Tweedy Elver (Ben Elver), loving brother to Ernest Chester Tweedy III, Manuel Rodriguez, and Alanna Rodriguez; uncle Thomas Chadwick Tweedy (Julie Thurston), and aunts Dawn Pink, Kristy Messer and Michelle Messer. Conrad was predeceased by his sister, Makayla, in 2007 and cousin, Maci, in 2019.

LaVergne Pulling, 92, of Morton, Illinois passed away at 1:24 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2023 at her home. She was formerly of Apopka, Florida. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, Illinois.

 

VICENTE GARCIA SILVA, 63, of Apopka, Florida passed away on June 18, 2023. Mr. Garcia Silva was born on July 02, 1959 in Nayarit, Mexico to the late Vicente Garcia Orozco and Carolina Silva Inda. He is preceded in death by his brother Enrique Garcia Silva. He is survived by his loving wife Maria Olivia Lopez Inda; children Blanca (Juan Carlos) Paloma, Noe (Anai) Candelario, Adriana (Raul) Carolina, Jessica (Ezequiel) Daniela, Rossary (Alejandro) Olivia and Yarelin (Juan) Marymar; siblings Maria Del Carmen, Carolina, Patricia, Lydia, Carolina and Luis; grandchildren Noe Damian Garcia, Jonathan Reyes, Noelia Garcia, Adrian Sanchez, Janysse Reyes, Alexei Sanchez, Alika Meza, Alejandro Meza, Liam Meza, Ezequiel Jr Tiscareno

ROBERT THOMAS PUMPHREY, 84, longtime resident of Apopka, Florida passed away on June 11, 2023. Mr. Pumphrey was born on January 23, 1939 in Apopka, Florida to the late Pete and Sylvia Pumphrey. Mr. Pumphrey is preceded in death by his loving wife Edna Jean Pumphrey; as well as his son Danny Thomas Pumphrey. He is survived his son Curtis (Karen) Ray Pumphrey Sr.; siblings Bill Pumphrey, Carolyn Holt and Patty Hansford; grandchildren Katrina (Eddy) Nuckoles, Curtis (Lauren) Ray Pumphrey Jr. and Brett Pumphrey; great grandchildren Josie, Kayla, Mason, Naylon and Kyle; as well as great-great grandchildren Ainsley, Gunner and Laramie. He will be missed by his extended family, loved ones and friends.

JAMES “JIM” LOUIS EBERLING, 79, of Apopka, Florida passed away on June 11, 2023. Mr. Eberling was born on October 16, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late George and Bernice Eberling. Mr. Eberling is preceded in death by his sister Susan Eberling. He is survived by his loving wife Debbie Eberling; children Kelli Price and James (Jodee) G. Eberling; grandchildren Dakotah, Colin, Jimmy and McKenna. He will be missed by his extended family, loved ones and friends.

KERITH S BLACKWOOD, 86 of  Apopka, Monday May 29, 2023. Born June 28, 1936 in St. Ann, Jamaica West Indies to Otenecia and Alfred along with siblings Mabel, Ken, Claude, Daphne, and Earl.  Wedded in Birmingham, England, to Dorritt Blackwood. He is survived by wife Doritt Blacwood of Apopka, and children Colvrille Blackwood- Brooklyn, NY, Jennifer Strachan and Spouse Aubyn Strachan, Dwight Blackwood of Marietta, GA, Dexter Blackwood and Spouse Diana Blackwood of Ontario, Canada, Samantha Perry and Spouse Roul Perry of Marietta, GA and grandchildren Julian, Jonathan, Jeremy, Brynn, Dominic, Nigel, Jada, Nadia, Bianca, Ingrid, Alexis, Kaitlyn, great grandchildren Daijon, Milania, Zachariyah. He is pedeceased by siblings Mabel, Ken, Claude, Earl.

JUNE M. WAGNER, 93, longtime resident of Apopka, Florida passed away on June 03, 2023. Mrs. Wagner was born on June 13, 1929 in Buffalo, New York. Mrs. Wagner is survived by her loving husband Walter Wagner; children Ronald (Julie) Wagner, Donald (Rosemary) Wagner, Connie Gillett and Craig Wagner; grandchildren Melissa, Ashley, Sierra, Courtney, Miley and Donovan; great grandchildren Alyssa, Preston, Mac, Abigail, Allie and Ava; sister Donna Blatner as well as many extended family members. She will be missed by her many loved ones and friends.

 

KAY FRANCES HUTH, passed away on May 27th 2023 at the age of 88, in Apopka Florida. She was born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania to parents William and Garnett Croyle on November 17th 1934. She graduated from Freeport High School, where she met, and later married the love of her life, Ray. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray, her parents, and her three older brothers William, Donald, and Gary. She is survived by her daughter Cynde (Bobby) Avant, Grandchildren Wesley (Candice) Avant, and Amanda (Justin) Brockenbrough, and her Great Grandchildren Wyatt Avant and Reese Brockenbrough.

MARY KATHLEEN (KATHY) (KRIS) HOPPER, Born February 7th, 1943 – Passed peacefully June 1st, 2023. Kathy was born in Lakeland Florida and was adopted by Nat and Josephine Ryan of Apopka, where she grew up. After graduating from Apopka Memorial High School, she attended Lindsey Wilson College located in Columbia, Ky.  There is where she met and married Marion W. Hopper from Russell Springs. Ky. They became grandparents to four grandchildren, Jacob, Taylor, Emilee and Tanner, and great grandparents to Jacob and Josephine. Kathy is survived by her husband Marion W. Hopper; Children, Mary Jo Hutsell (Barry S. Hutsell); Grandchildren, Taylor L. Hutsell, Emilee L. Sumlin, Tanner S. Hutsell; Great Grandchildren, Jacob Sumlin and Josephine Sumlin; Sister, Nancy Blalock (Ed Taubensee).  Many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and extended family. She had many family and friends in Kentucky and her native Florida.

MICHAEL WAYNE HUBBARD, “HUBB”, 61, went to heaven on May 29th 2023 in peace and surrounded by love. He was a beloved father, husband, son, brother, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of ultimate love, strength, and generosity. Born on October 16.Michael Wayne Hubbard is survived by his wife Sandra Lee Weeks, his best friend and sister Lisa Davis Budzinski and his unconditional loving daughter, Kristin Lee Hubbard who will continue to keep his love for life alive. In his celebration of life, we ask to raise a glass or a shot of tequila to life by the river or ocean.

COLLEEN C. DOTY, 69, of Apopka, Florida passed away on May 26, 2023. Mrs. Doty was born on July 14, 1953 in San Rafael, California. She is preceded in death by her loving Fiance Edward Wonsicki. She is survived by her son Sean (Jess) Doty; sister Dawn Doty; best friend Janice (John Bruckner) Barnette; As well as loved ones and many friends.

Kay Frances Huth, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on May 27th 2023 at the age of 88, in Apopka Florida. She was born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania to parents William and Garnett Croyle on November 17th 1934. High School is where she met, and later married the love of her life, Ray. She worked in the financial  department of Hermann Engelmann Greenhouses for 34 years.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray, her parents, and her three older brothers William, Donald, and Gary.  She is survived by her daughter Cynde (Bobby) Avant, Grandchildren Wesley (Candice) Avant, and Amanda (Justin) Brockenbrough, and her Great Grandchildren Wyatt Avant and Reese Brockenbrough.

MICHAEL DEAN GALLAGHER, 65, of Apopka, Florida passed away on May 20, 2023. Mr. Gallagher was born on October 06, 1957 in Altus, Oklahoma.  He passed away surrounded by his loving friends. He will be dearly missed by all of his friends and fishing buddies.

NANCY LAMONTE, age 66, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at her home in Apopka, Florida surrounded by loved ones. She was born Nancy Jean Nesbit on March 22, 1957, in Ontario, Canada. She was the second of eight children born to Robert and Ann Nesbit. Nancy married Phillip Shaun Flavin in June of 1978, and together they raised their beautiful daughters. Nancy is survived by her children; Julie (Buddy) De la Fuente, Nicole Flavin and Lindsay (Alan) Johnson, brothers; Robert Nesbit, Barton Nesbit, Dean Nesbit, Sisters; Dawn Cole and Karen (Mark) Dakel, five grandchildren; Landon, Karis, Cruz, Cyrus and Zeke and countless nieces and nephews, all of whom brought her great joy and happiness in her life.  She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Ann Nesbit and her two sisters Patricia Rector and Barbara St Pierre.

OSCAR DOUGLAS HOWARD, 89, of Altamonte Springs, Florida passed away on May 27, 2023. Mr. Howard was born on February 3, 1934 in Bell County, Kentucky. Mr. Howard is preceded in death by his parents John and Sarah Howard; siblings Thelma Howard Asher, Jean Howard Thompson, Mildred Howard Osborne, Betty Howard Mills, JW Howard, and Robert Howard; as well as his grandson’s  Travis Jon Backus and Robert Douglas Backus. He is survived by his children Shan (Robert) Backus and Robin (Bill) McGaughy; siblings Orville (Helen) Howard and Henry Howard; brother-in-law Tom Mills; grandchildren Brittany (Dennis) Harper and Kendahl (Chase) Steele; as well as his great grandchildren Kendrek Josiah Harper and Atleigh Rae Harper.
