EVANGELINA C. OCHOA, 83, of Apopka, Florida passed away on July 21, 2023. Mrs. Ochoa was born on August 11, 1939 in Ancihuacuaro, Mexico. Mrs. Ochoa is preceded in death by her loving husband Jose Ochoa. She is survived by 7 children; 18 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; as well as 2 brothers. She will be dearly missed by her many loved ones and friends.

RUTH ELIZABETH BURSEY, 81, of Apopka, Florida passed away on July 22, 2023. Mrs. Bursey was born on June 13, 1942 in Spencer, Iowa. Mrs. Bursey is preceded in death by her brother Lee Branum. She is survived by her loving husband Ernie Bursey; children Blake (Cathy) Bursey, Jonathan Bursey, Steven Bursey and Kristin (Romeo Pavlic) Bursey; grandchildren Patrick Bursey, Sarah Bursey, Carson Bursey, Alex Bursey and Skyler Bursey; as well as her sisters Helene Pooler and Dorothy Cole. She will be dearly missed by her extended family, loved ones and friends.

Betty L. Dakel, 96, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 8, from the Strive Senior Living Facility in Fern Park. She was born October 15, 1926, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to Bertha Irene (Graves) and William Henry Hatfield. Survivors are her children: Stephen (Jan) Dakel, Winter Springs and Mark (Karen) Dakel of Deltona; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by husband Robert L. Dakel in October 2017; mother Bertha Oswald, April 1982; father William Hatfield, July 1968, and sisters: Erma Cathern Patterson, September 2001, and Mary Jean Wooster, October 1990..

James “Allen” Ross, age 86, longtime of Apopka, passed away  peacefully on June 16, 2023. Mr. Ross was born May 7, 1937 in  Orlando, Florida to the late Jack and Joyce Ross. He was preceded in death by his famously adored brother, Bob Ross, “The Happy  Painter”. Allen is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sheila Ross;  daughter Stacy Oliver of Orlando; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley  and Jason Socha of Apopka; fice granddaughters; one great grandson; two nephews; as well as his long-lost daughter  Catherine (Bob) Zimmer of Temecula CA, including their six children and their two grandchildren.

Lula Bell Bridges Prince, Apopka, passed away on July 12, 2023.  Survivors are children: Marcus Prince, Darlene Massey, Marvin Prince, Sr., Melvin Prince Sr., Sally Campbell, Joseph Anderson Jr., Lushell Raper; sisters Mary Beckett, Mae Rose Richmond;  brother Lee Otis Bridges; 30 grandchildren,  93 great grandchildren and 24 great-great grandchildren.

Miguel Angel Alcazar, 53, of Apopka, Florida passed away on July 02, 2023. Mr. Alcazar was born on December 15, 1969 in Bronx, New York. Mr. Alcazar is survived by his loving wife Luz Emilda Alcazar; children Cynthia Alcazar and Miguel Angel Alcazar Ortiz; grandchild Yonel Angel Alcazar; as well as his siblings Aida Iris Alcazar Colon, Carmen Eneyda Alcazar-Ramos and Rafael Alcazar Colon.

DAVID A. BRIGMAN 95 of Zellwood passed away June 25, 2023. Born February 16, 1928 in Lumberton, NC. He was a proud navy veteran from WWII, A longtime resident and business owner in Apopka, he and his wife Hazel owned Dave’sJewelers and Dave Brigman Motors. He is preceded in death by parents Archie D. Brigman and Ettie Shaw Brigman, siblings Fred Brigman, Lloyd Brigman, Mabel Brigman Watts and Estelle Brigman Lackey. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Hazel DeMott Brigman, Zellwood, children Dennis Brigman (Shirley), Larry Brigman (Linda) of Apopka, Rhonda Kay Brigman of Blairsville, GA, Trena Brigman Sapp (Bobby) of Murphy, NC. Five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

JACQUELYN HIGHFIELD, 92, of Port Orange, passed away on Friday, June 16. Born on May 9, 1931 in Duluth, MN to Miron “Douglas” Creighton and Alice Willman. Jacquelyn married Glen Highfield on February 5, 1955. She is survived by her childhood sweetheart and loving husband of 68 years, Glen “Chuck” Highfield; two sisters, Dodie Stoller and Carolyn Rhode (Joe); three sons Mark (Karen), Paul (Ronald) and Bruce (Heather) and five wonderful grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

MARGARET D. WRIGHT, 78, of Apopka, Florida passed away on July 01, 2023. Ms. Wright was born on September 03, 1944 in Tiger, Arizona. Ms. Wright is preceded in death by her loving mother Margaret Wentz; as well as her siblings David Wentz and Wes Houghton. She is survived by her children Robert (Penny) Myro and Amanda (Jeremy) Murray; as well as her grandchildren Cole Murray and Madison Murray.
