On Sunday, December 11, 50 families from Apopka area Elementary Schools were hosted at the Elks Lodge for the annual Elks/Sertoma Christmas Food and Toy Event. This year (l to r), National Sertoma Director Lucy Stolfi join Elks members Arlen Mizell and Chris Taylor and Foliage Sertoma Club of Apopka President Lorena Potter to prepare food baskets and the toy room. The $10,000 in food and toys are funded annually by Elks and Sertoma with help from the community. This year, the national organization Sertoma Inc. awarded a $1,000 grant in addition to the local club sponsorship.
