Food drive collects 12,491 lbs of food

A total of 12,491 pounds — a fraction of that being shown here — was locally collected for the U.S. Postal Service Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. This event is the largest one-day food drive in America that collects more than 75 million pounds of non-perishable food each year. All food collected in Apopka and Zellwood stays local and is given to Loaves & Fishes in Apopka. For distribution to Second Harvest Food Bank.
