Early voting continues through November 6

Early voting for the November 8 General Election continues through Sunday, November 6, at 8 p.m. In addition, vote-by-mail ballots may be returned to the Orange County supervisor of elections office until Tuesday, November 8, at 7 p.m. The final day to request a vote-by-mail ballot is Wednesday, November 2, at 5 p.m.

In Apopka, early voting may be done at the Apopka Community Center/VFW, 519 S. Central Avenue. Any registered Orange County registered voter may vote at the Apopka site or at any of the other early-voting locations throughout the county. All of the early-voting sites are open each day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Through the first three days of early voting in Orange County, 50,688 people had cast their ballots, including 3,935 at the Apopka Community Center/VFW.

Of those voting in Apopka, 1,796 are registered Democrats and 1,425 are Republicans, while 621 who have no party affiliation have voted. Only 93 other party voters have cast their ballots in Apopka.

Across Orange County in early voting, there have been 25,657 Democrats who have early voted while 14,437 Republicans have done so. No party affiliation-voters have cast 9,515 ballots while other party voters number 1,079 in early voting.

As of the end of business on Wednesday, October 26, there have been 78,684 ballots returned by mail to the office of Bill Cowles, Orange County supervisor of elections. Nearly half, or 37,901, have come from Democrats, while 25,322 have been returned by Republicans. Those with no party affiliation have mailed back 14,169 ballots and those of other parties have returned 1,292 ballots.
