ROBERT VANCE FERRELL Joined his beloved mother and daughter December 15th, 2023. Robert, son of Mattie Ferrell was born April 22nd, 1948, and was a lifelong resident of Apopka.

JEANNIE USTLER-ROTTLOFF, 72, of Apopka, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 26, 2023. Born March 29, 1951, in Apopka, to her parents Harold E. Ustler, Sr. and Juanita V. Ustler.She is survived by her sons Matthew Rottloff and Paul Rottloff; brothers Harold Ustler, Jr. and Stephen Ustler; 2 nieces and their families. She is predeceased by her father Harold E. Ustler, Sr. and sister Linda I. Brickner. Although she did not predecease Jeannie, her mother went to be with their Lord on December 21, 2023.

JAMES MITCHELL CARTER, 88, of Apopka, was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on November 25, 1935. He was a retired Captain of Apopka Police Department. Mr. Carter passed away on December 14, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Patricia Ann Carter; three sons: Henry Franklin Carter, James Gregory Carter and Dr. Michael Shane Carter; 2 gradchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

JUANITA V. USTLER, 93, of Apopka, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, December 21, 2023. She was born March 23, 1930, to parents Edward Guy Russell and Janie Fowler Russell in Palatka. She is survived by sons Harold Ustler, Jr., Apopka, and Stephen Ustler of Winter Garden; brother Stephen; sisters Joyce and Judy; 4 grandchildren 2 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She is predeceased by husband Harold E. Ustler, Sr.; daughters, Linda Ustler Brickner, Jeannie Ustler Rottloff; brothers Doyle and Carl; sisters Dorothy, Betty, Peggy, Jane and Barbara.

LAURETTE M. QUINLAN, 82, of Apopka, Florida passed away on December 12. Mrs. Quinlan was born on March 8, 1941 in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota. She is survived by her loving husband Joe Quinlan, children Lisa Quinlan and Renee Wade; and 1 granddaughter.

MANUEL RUIZ GUADALUPE, 83, of Apopka, Florida passed away on December 12. Mr. Ruiz Guadalupe was born on November 10, 1940 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. He is survived by his loving wife Celia Cruz; 3 children; 7 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; as well as 1 great-great grandchild.

VIRGINIA LYNN CONLON, 81, of Zellwood, Florida passed away on December 06, 2023. Mrs. Conlon was born on April 02, 1942 in Madison, Wisconsin. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Bruce Patrick Conlon; father Dr. Marion Jackson and brother Dr. Doug Jackson. She is survived by her mother Chrystie Jackson; children Daniel (Cliff) Conlon and Dr. Thomas Conlon; siblings Stan Jackson and Marjorie Jackson; grandchildren Jaxson Patrick Conlon and Ella Rayne Conlon. As well as extended family, loved ones and dear friends.

SCOTT O. SLAUSON, 71, of Apopka, Florida passed away on November 24. Mr. Slauson was born on February 14, 1952, in Margaretville, New York to the late Vergil and Virginia Slauson. He is survived by his sister Janet (Bob) Caldwell; one niece; two great nieces; and two half siblings.

ANTHONY “TONY” BEGG STEVENS, age 65, passed away in his home unexpectedly in Apopka, on November 30. Tony was born in Winter Park, FL on January 21, 1958, to Mary Gearing Stevens and Burr Edward Stevens II. Tony is survived by his only son, US Marine, Chase Stevens, formally of Jacksonville, Florida; currently of Maryland; brothers, Michael Stevens (Lisbet); Bill Stevens (Mary); Burr Stevens (Mary Marwick); Matthew Stevens; and sister Peggy Stevens (Robert Rivers), and many nieces and nephews.  Tony was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

CHARLES PASCO BATEMAN JR., 93, of Sorrento, Florida passed away on November 17, 2023. Charlie was born on December 02, 1929 in Plymouth, Florida to the late Mr.&Mrs. Charles Pasco Bateman Sr. He graduated from Apopka High School in 1948. Then attended Rollins College in Winer Park, Florida where he continued to play football until the love of horses and cattle drew him into that arena quicker than he had planned. He loved hunting and fishing, he was a true Cowboy. He is survived by his sister Margaret Via; brother Chris Bateman; son Ronnie David; as well as eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

PHILLIP A. HOOD, 76, of Thousand Palms, CA passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. Phil was born on February 22, 1947, in Orlando, Florida to Charlie Hood and Margaret Hood. He was marred to Lynn Emilia, Apopka, FL, December 8, 2002. He is survived by Lynn Emilia (spouse), Thousand Palms, CA; brother: Clifford Hood and wife Shirley Hood, Lakeland, FL, twin sister: Phyllis Hood, Orlando, FL and nephew: Tracy Hood and wife Barbara Hood, Tampa, FL. Phil is predeceased in death by his parents: Charlie and Margaret Hood, Apopka, FL; brother: Billy Hood, Apopka FL; and nephew John Hood, Lakeland, FL.

OMAR MEDINA GARCIA, 75, of Apopka, Florida passed away on November 21, 2023. Mr. Garcia was born on June 12, 1948 in Santa Clara, Cuba to the late Pablo and Julia Medina. He is survived by his loving wife Mercedes Tamara Medina; children Omar Medina Jr. (Adriana), Pablo Medina and Maritza Medina; as well as his grandchildren Julian Omar Medina and Paola Medina.

ALEXANDER WILLIAM TUCCI, 79, of Apopka, Florida passed away on November 28, 2023. Mr. Tucci was born on January 16, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Filmore and Myra Tucci. He is preceded in death by his daughter Rachel Tucci and siblings James Tucci and Michael Tucci. He is survived by his loving wife Dawn Tucci; children Angel Tucci and Vicki Lock; brother Dawn Tucci; K9 companion Nina; as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
