Democratic gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist stopped in Apopka as part of his campaign tour bus to drum up support days before the general election.

Crist addressed a small crowd that packed the inside of Lula Mae’s Eatery on South Central Avenue Thursday, November 3.

Apopka City Commissioner Alexander H. Smith introduced Crist to the crowd before Crist took the podium.

After he spoke, Crist posed with voters outside the restaurant and interacted with them.

Crist served as Florida governor from 2007 to 2011 and as House representative for the 13th congressional district from 2017 to 2022. He is vying for the governor’s seat against Republican incumbent Ron DeSantis.

The general election is Tuesday, November 8.

The Apopka Chief’s coverage of Crist’s campaign tour bus stop in Apopka was past press time on Thursday morning.
