City of Apopka updates on Hurricane Helene yard debris pickup

390

From the city of Apopka

The City of Apopka’s Sanitation Division will be taking all properly prepared storm debris along with normal yard maintenance debris.

Hurricane Helene did not leave behind a large amount of debris; however, we still anticipate a significant enough increase to put us behind schedule for the next few days.

Please prepare all storm related debris as you would normal yard waste, less than 30 pounds per bag or container and less than 5 feet in length. The usual charges for over 4 cubic yards will be waived for the next 2 weeks, this is for extra debris related to the storm only. Please refrain from large elective tree and brush trimming projects during this time.

Once we are back on schedule you may resume normal maintenance. Thank you for your patience.
