CareerSource Central Florida will host its first ever “Careers For Graduates Hiring Event” on Thursday, August 4, which is designed to bring immediate job opportunities for recent graduates from high school, college, or technical programs.
This inaugural region-wide hiring event will occur at all five CareerSource Central Florida Career Centers in Lake, Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties from 1-6 p.m. to help graduates seek career opportunities and have access to on-site employer interviews, employment training opportunities, scholarship information, and more.
More than 40 companies, including Advent Health, Amazon, Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, Orlando Health, Del-Air, UPS will attend the event representing various positions and opportunities in healthcare, transportation & logistics, hospitality, manufacturing, finance and education industries.
There are more than 1 million fewer students enrolled in college, and U.S. colleges and universities have seen a fall in nearly 500,000 undergraduate students in 2021 according to The National Students Clearinghouse Research Center. Wages have increased and the labor market is strong, making the workforce eye-catching to graduates.
