Joyce Boudoin has been named interim Orange County clerk of courts after Tiffany Moore Russell, who left office Aug. 31 after advancing to the runoff for Orange County mayor.  

Chief Judge Lisa Munyon of the Ninth Judicial Circuit appointed Boudoin as clerk ad interim by administrative order and administered her oath of office Monday evening. 

Boudoin has worked for the Orange County Clerk of Courts for 18 years and has served as chief administrative officer since 2022. Her previous positions include director of the Project Management Office, director of Court Operations and assistant administrator.

As chief administrative officer, Boudoin provides leadership and oversight across administrative and operational functions within the clerk’s office. 

She will serve as interim clerk until Gov. Ron DeSantis appoints a replacement or until the outcome of a special election scheduled for the November general election. 

The special election winner will complete the remainder of Russell’s term.
