Visitors to the St. Johns River Water Management District’s Lake Apopka North Shore should expect additional bicycle traffic to the Lake Apopka Loop Trail on select dates due to bike rides there.

On Sunday, November 20, the Horrible Hundred Ride 2016 will begin at 8 a.m. on multiple trail segments of the Lake Apopka Loop Trail.

Then, on Sunday, November 27, the Apopkalypse 100k Gravel Ride 2016 (formerly Claymont 100k) will begin at 7:30 a.m., also on multiple trail segments of the Lake Apopka Loop Trail.

Most additional traffic is expected to impact trails on the western side of the Lake Apopka North Shore. The Lake Apopka Loop Trail covers more than 20 miles and provides hiking and biking opportunities across the property.
