RALPH D. ARMSTRONG, 58, Apopka, died Wednesday, April 8. Mr. Armstrong was born in Umatilla County, Oregon. Survivors: wife, Luz Delia; children, Christian, Yadira Hernandez; grandchildren, Jared Swarek, Belen Infante. Loomis Family Funeral Home, Apopka.

THOMAS TURNER, 60, Sorrento, died Tuesday, April 14. Mr. Turner was born in Rockledge. Survivors: wife, Debbie; children, Brenda Cruz; siblings, Richard, Ronald, Vickie Duval; two grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 9, at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Apopka, 201 S. Park Ave., Apopka. A reception will follow.

BETTY J. MASSARO, 89, Apopka, died Sunday, April 19. Mrs. Massaro was born in Irwin, Pennsylvania. Survivors: children, Cynthia Forehand, Misty Strickland, Peter T. Jr., Lisa A; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. Loomis Family Funeral Home, Apopka.

ROGER R. WEBB, 67, Sorrento, died Thursday, April 16. Mr. Webb was born in St. Petersburg. He was a member of the Moose, NRA, and RNC. His church was The Cross of Mt. Dora. He was a self-employed entrepreneur. Survivors: wife, Kim; sons, Kenric, Casey, Sonny; father, Joseph; brother, Larry; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

JAMES “RED” BASCOM FREE, 92, longtime Apopka resident, died in Eustis on Thursday, April 9. Mr. Free was born in Elba, Alabama. He served in the Korean War in the National Guard. Moving to Apopka in 1955, he owned and operated Free’s Ice and Fuel until he retired in 2001. He also supported youth sports in Apopka, sponsoring Little League teams, coached Senior League baseball and basketball squads for the Apopka Recreation Department. Survivors: sons, Terry, Kerry, two grandchildren.

DOUGLAS ARNOLD ARMSTRONG, 55, Apopka, died on Wednesday, April 15. Mr. Armstrong was born in Chicago, Illinois. Survivors: siblings, Joanne Shelton Moore, Gary. Loomis Family Funeral Home, Apopka.

RICHARD F. LONGTIN SR., 92, Zellwood, died Tuesday, April 7. Mr. Longtin was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, and resided there until moving to Florida. He worked as a manager in the insurance industry. Loomis Family Funeral Home, Apopka.

ROBERT MILLER HALL, 83, Mt. Plymouth, died Sunday, April 12. Mr. Hall was born in Wise County, Virginia. Survivors: wife, Mary Carol; children, Linda, Chris, Sunny, Matthew; siblings, Shirley, Steve, George, Jean; eight grandchildren. Mr. Hall was a veteran of two years in the U.S. Army and four years in the Army Reserve. He retired from 33 years with Western Electric/Lucent Technology as a quality controller, and then worked for 10 years with TransGlobal Communications.
