The Lifeboat Project CEO and founder Jill Cohen recently announced the appointment of Tina Sopp as the organization’s new Chief Operating Officer (COO).
In her new role, Sopp will oversee the organization’s day-to-day operations, strategic initiatives, and organizational growth as The Lifeboat Project continues expanding its mission of empowering survivors of human trafficking through housing, advocacy, education, and comprehensive support services.
“We are thrilled to welcome Tina to The Lifeboat Project’s executive leadership team,” Cohen said in a Lifeboat Project news release. “Her leadership experience, strategic vision, and passion for building meaningful relationships will strengthen our organization as we continue expanding our mission to provide hope, healing, and comprehensive services to survivors of human trafficking.”
A graduate of the University of Florida, Sopp earned dual degrees in political science and public relations. Her professional experience includes leading business development initiatives, managing complex business-to-business accounts, negotiating partnerships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver customer experiences.
A proud eighth-generation Orlando resident, Sopp has deep roots in Central Florida. Her grandfather was well known for winding downtown Orlando’s clock by hand each day, and her family’s legacy continues to be recognized through Dollins Avenue in downtown Orlando.
Sopp is the proud mother of two sons, Colten, a Florida State University graduate, and Austin, a Rollins College graduate. Both are professional wrestlers with All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
