NORWF to travel with 200 other women to state capital
Staff Reports
Members of the Northwest Orange Republican Women Federated (NORWF), along with 200 other women from around the state, are heading to Tallahassee for Legislative Day on March 20, when they will pose questions to representatives about pressing issues.
NORWF will have two voting delegates for the event, President Loretta Forlaw and State Campaign Chair Charlotte White.
Each year, the Florida Federation of Republican Women plans a week-long event to have its meeting, take a tour of the state capitol, attend legislative sessions, meet with respective representatives and have representatives as their guest speakers.
Besides Legislative Day, NORWF members will also be at the Florida Federation Republican Women conference on Friday and Saturday, March 21 and 22.
On March 12, NORWF hosted a question-and-answer session on addressing questions to take to Tallahassee.
“There was an interesting discussion about bills associated with education with guests JoAnne Cross and others,” according to a statement from NORWF. “We had a very informative conversation with Mayor Bryan Nelson about property and sales tax. We learned a lot about city government activities for consideration when meeting with legislators on March 20th.”
In next month’s newsletter and meeting, NORWF will reveal details of its Legislative Day visit and attendance at the Florida Federation of Republican Women conference.
