Why did the turtle cross the road?

A large Florida softshell turtle takes a quick look around while crossing one of the roads on the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive. The 11-mile, one-way drive is free and open to the public Fridays through Sundays and on federal holidays. The entrance gate at 2850 Lust Rd., Apopka, opens at 7 a.m. and closes at 3 p.m. The exit gate on Jones Avenue in Zellwood closes at 5 p.m.
