Key Points

Shown in this photo from 2021, Apopka High School graduate Donald Scott once again qualified for the world championships in the triple jump by finishing in first place in the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships held June 23-26 in Eugene, Oregon. Scott’s triple jump that earned him first place came on his first leap of 56 feet (17.07 meters). Scott’s victory landed him a spot on the U.S. team for the 2022 World Athletics Championship that will take place July 15-24, in Eugene, Oregon. (Photo courtesy USATF)
