Stolen vehicle ends up in automobile crash at Apopka interserction

A vehicle that was stolen ended up in an automobile crash this morning, Thursday, October 5, at North Main Avenue and Summit Street.

North Maine Avenue is currently closed from Massachusetts Avenue to Summit Avenue, according to Apopka police.

On Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 8:09 a.m., the Apopka Police Department received a call regarding a vehicle burglary in progress in the area of Martin Place Boulevard.

At 8:11 a.m. while officers were responding to the vehicle burglary, Apopka dispatch received a second call regarding a vehicle crash at the intersection of North Maine Avenue and Summit Street involving two vehicles.

The first vehicle was leaving the scene of the auto burglary when it crashed into another vehicle occupied by one adult and two juveniles.
