Opera Orlando Youth Company auditions will be held for new members between the ages of 8 and 18 who are interested in singing classical music, opera and musical theater.
Auditions will be held by appointment on Saturday, January 14, at Broadway United Methodist Church, 406 East Amelia St., Orlando.
The Opera Orlando Youth Company, a program created by Opera Orlando’s Director of Education Robin Jensen, is comprised of a children’s chorus (elementary school age) and an apprentice company (middle school and high school age).
Members explore their artistic creativity in a workshop environment and develop their performing powers while practicing and developing healthy vocal habits.
Numerous public performances are part of the program. Scholarships are available and based on artistic potential and financial need.
