A man was found dead in the bushes in Apopka this past weekend. 

On Tuesday, June 21, The Apopka Police Department released the following statement:

On Saturday June 18, 2022 at approximately 1:15 pm the Apopka Police Department responded to the area of East Monroe Avenue and Christiana Ave for an unresponsive male in the bushes. The Apopka Fire Department arrived on scene at approximately 1:18 pm and pronounced the male deceased.
 
This is an ongoing investigation. I cannot release the males personal information at this time as Next of Kin notification has not been made.
 
There is no threat to the community.
