Organization aims to end area human trafficking

The Lifeboat Project (LBP) has announced on Friday, March 13, that it appointed to its board of directors a new chair and members from diverse backgrounds and expertise, who are dedicated to upholding the nonprofit’s mission of ending human trafficking in Central Florida.

Shannon Fraser, senior vice president of iHeartMedia Markets Group, has been appointed the chair. The new board members are Linda Martin-Kennedy, vice president and banking center manager at First Horizon Bank; Mark Mankbadi, assistant vice president and wealth management advisor at Fifth Third Bank; and Cindy Traenkner, owner/operator of RC Pizza.

The new chair and members join current Board of Directors members Gary Cohen, treasurer; Donna Shelley, board member; Dr. Jennifer Keehbauch, board member; and Jill Bolander Cohen, founder and CEO of the LBP.

“We are excited to recognize our Board Chair and new board members who will be providing great leadership and expertise that will benefit The Lifeboat Project, our survivors and the community overall,” Bolander Cohen said in a press release. “Their leadership, knowledge and enthusiasm are priceless in helping us make a difference, but also knowing the community needs and to serve those who have witnessed and experienced human trafficking here in Central Florida.”

The LBP is a Florida-based 501(c)(3) that offers a multi-pronged solution for human trafficking survivors through safe house, transitional homes and lifelong care.

Shannon Fraser

Fraser has over 20 years’ experience in media sales. She plays a major role in pushing market growth and reinforcingiHeartMedia’s leadership in the Orlando area.

She is engaged in sports and charitable events and has directed the past two years to the subject of human trafficking.

Linda Martin-Kennedy

Martin-Kennedy has over 42 years of experience in the financial industry, including 30 years in retail branch management and eight years in branch administration.

She focuses on the Medical District Banking Center in Central Florida and joined First Horizon Bank in 2008 through the acquisition of Old Florida National Bank.

She serves on multiple community boards and is a Florida State University graduate.

Mark Mankbadi

Mankbadi has over a decade of financial services experience, as well as numerous contributions to the community and more.

His expertise is tailoring solutions for individuals, entrepreneurs and multi-generational families to safeguard and foster their assets through investments, estate planning, insurance, cash management and philanthropy.

He has a B.S. in business management from the University of South Florida and an MBA from the University of Central Florida.

Cindy Traenkner

Since 1999, Traenkner has been managing over 20 Domino’s locations and oversees all facets of the business. She is also the chief marketing officer for Snowball Pizza, Inc., where she grows partnerships with schools, nonprofits and local businesses. She leads the training for over 450 team members.

Traenkner is a certified ServSafe Instructor and Franchise Management School graduate with a track record of success that includes a 300% sales increase at her first location and earning the Domino’s 100% White Grove Award.
