On Wednesday,
February 14, people throughout the United States and in many other regions of the world will celebrate Valentine’s Day. It’s a day to highlight romantic love as well as to commit to loving all of humanity.

The origins of this celebration are obscure. But the day’s current significance in the world of retail sales is unquestionable—particularly in the realm of greeting cards and chocolate! Two or three weeks before Christmas Day, shelves in many retail outlets are already being dedicated to Valentine products and displays.

This Valentine’s Day, Graceworx Community Church urges all in our community to do something special for their significant other. But also, let’s harness the potential of this much-marketed celebration to reflect on how we can be more loving, caring, and compassionate toward all with whom we come in contact.
