Staff Reports

The second annual Orange Blossom Jazz Festival will celebrate jazz music and jazz bands with 48 performances over the two-day event, more than double the number of performances in last year’s festival.

Organized by the Apopka High School in partnership with the city of Apopka, the Orange Blossom Jazz Festival is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 11, and 9 a.m. to the final headliner starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, at the Apopka Amphitheater.
The Amphitheater is located at the Northwest Recreation Complex, 3710 Jason Dwelley Parkway, Apopka.

All proceeds will go toward the scholarship fund for the Apopka High Band Summer Music Camp, which will help participating students boost their knowledge and skills as Blue Darter Bands performers.

The event will have headliner performances from some of the nation’s top college and university jazz ensembles from as far as Tallahassee (Florida State University) and Jacksonville (University of North Florida), to Central Florida (University of Central Florida) and as far south as Palm Beach and Broward counties.

This year the festival is also teaming up with Full Sail University, which will provide all gear and manpower to the Orange Blossom Jazz Festival by doing the videography, lights, engineering and sound.

The Orange Blossom Jazz Festival began in 2024 as a one-day event and just 22 bands at the Apopka Amphitheater.
