The 1997 Apopka Blue Darters baseball team that finished as the state runner-up was honored Friday, April 8, at J. Barnes Field prior to the Apopka contest against the Windermere Wolverines. Also joining in the evening’s festivities were other former Apopka High baseball players. Here, all the former baseball players and their families gather for a photograph. The evening’s activities were organized by Brian King, former Apopka High baseball player and assistant coach. The Apopka High School Alumni Association held a pregame tailgate for the former players and their families.
