Forever Wishes will host two events this holiday season, a toy drive and a holiday brunch, which will both take place at Taverna Italiano Restaurant, 625 Rock Ridge Blvd., Apopka.

Launched in 2014, Forever Wishes is an Apopka non-profit organization that benefits families. The organization began in 2014 with a Toys for Tots event and later expanded to include other events.

Toy drive
The first Forever Wishes event is a toy drive scheduled for Friday, December 9, 5 p.m.-midnight. Toys will be collected for Toys for Tots, and guests are encouraged to bring unwrapped toys.

The event will also have a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, DJ entertainment and drink specials.

This event may not be suitable for children since it will be a late night of celebrating a night of giving.

Holiday brunch
The second event is a family-friendly holiday brunch that will be on Sunday, December 11, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The cost is $14.95 for kids 12 and under and $24.95 for adults.

The adult meal will include a choice of unlimited Mimosas or Bloody Marys.

This event is an afternoon filled with raffles, a live jazz band and a visit from Santa, all while enjoying a buffet-style brunch. Twenty percent of the proceeds on all meals purchased will be donated to Forever Wishes.

Guests will also have the option a purchasing a drink-only package, which includes unlimited Mimosas or Bloody Marys for only $14.95. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the drink packages will be donated to Forever Wishes.

An unwrapped toy for donating may also be brought to this event.
