The Apopka High boys basketball team is running its annual Blue Darter Basketball Camp for two weeks in June.
Session 1 (June 4-7) and Session II (June 11-14) are both available to Apopka-area children (boys and girls) ages 8-13. The camp runs from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. daily and will include skill development, 5-on-5 competition, contests, and more. The camp is run under the direction of Apopka Blue Darter head coach Scott Williams along with the players and coaching staff of the Apopka High School basketball team.
“I believe our camp experience is the best you can find in Central Florida, when you combine the great job our coaches and players do along with the affordable cost,” Williams said. “Our basketball program takes a lot of pride in giving back to the young kids in our area and our players do a fantastic job of coaching and mentoring the campers!”
Williams reminds parents of the need to register quickly. “Three of the past four years we sold out both weeks of camp before the first week even started. Part of the blessing of being a Blue Darter is the tremendous support our community gives to our camps.”
Pre-registration cost for the camp is $95, with campers getting a basketball and T-shirt at the end of the week, while walk-in registration (if available) will be $110. Multi-child, and multi-week discounts are available.
