The community’s first ever Cops N’ Cones event kicked off on Tuesday, March 18, at the Apopka Dairy Queen on East Semoran Boulevard in Apopka. There, children met Apopka police, enjoyed a free ice cream cone and were given goody bags filled with treats including an activity book and crayons. The event further strengthened the police-community connection, like other Apopka police events Coffee with a Cop and Cops and Bobbers. Due to its success, the Apopka police will have a future installment of Cops N’ Cones at a to-be-determined date, Sgt. Mark Creaser said.
