Key Points

A controlled burn took place Tuesday, February 26, near the entrance to the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive. The burn was designed to help clear brush from a 68-acre parcel that will serve as a birding park for visitors to the area, especially on days that the wildlife drive is not open. The birding park is a partnership between the city of Apopka and the Orange Audubon Society.
