Four juveniles and one adult male were arrested Tuesday, January 16, by Apopka police who charged them with burglary to vehicles after they were seen inside unlocked cars in the Breckenridge subdivision.
Officers responded to a call at about 9:20 p.m. after residents witnessed the suspects checking to see if vehicles parked in driveways and on the street were locked. If the car was unlocked, they rummaged through the vehicles in order to find any valuable items.
Police set a perimeter and employed a K-9, and then found the suspects walking in the neighborhood.
They detained the five males who were identified by a resident as the ones seen inside vehicles in the neighborhood, the police report stated.
Several pieces of jewelry were found in the suspects’ possession, including a watch, earrings, pendants, keys, a cell phone, an LA Fitness gym card, and a single vehicle key attached to a red lanyard with “I love Jesus” printed on it.
Officers charged each with four counts of attempted burglary and one count of burglary to a conveyance.
The adult charged is Tamarrick N. Mosley, 19, Apopka. The four juveniles’ names were not released, but their ages are 14, 14, 17, and 16.
