The Apopka Memorial Middle School girls basketball team won the Orange County championship Thursday, March 3, with a 50-22 victory over Avalon Middle School in a game played at Wekiva High School. The Seahawks ended the season with a 10-0 record. Leading the team were coach Picone, coach Griffin, coach Shaw, coach Johnny, and athletic director Mel Bolden Jr.
