The 1997 Apopka Blue Darters baseball team that finished as state runner-up was honored Friday, April 8, by the Apopka High baseball team and the Apopka High School Alumni Association. Ten members of the team were in attendance as was former assistant coach Brian King (l), who put the event together. The brief ceremony was held just prior to the Blue Darters’ game against the Windermere Wolverines.
