Orange County Public Schools has joined forces with the Florida Department of Health in Orange County, Health Hero, and the Hope CommUnity Center to kick off a student enrollment and immunization event in the Apopka area.

This is in an effort to provide families with supports needed to help enroll students and meet immunizations requirements.

Immunization and student enrollment will take place Thursday, January 12, at Hope CommUnity Center, 800 S. Hawthorne Ave, Apopka.

Immunizations are from 2 – 6 p.m. and student enrollment is from 5 – 7 p.m.
The state of Florida requires students to have all of their required immunizations before school starts which includes children entering kindergarten or the required update before a child enters seventh grade. Eleven year-olds are eligible for the Tetanus-Diphtheria-Pertussis immunization also known as Tdap. This is a required shot before entering the seventh grade.

Parents and guardian are advised to bring valid ID. Guardians should bring proof of guardianship.

Students must have: most recent immunization record, as well as an original birth certificate, passport, or other government ID.

Language interpreters will be available to any parent/guardian needing assistance.
