Phillis Wheatley Elementary School will host a Grill and Chill community event on Saturday, August 10, from noon to 2 p.m., on the Wheatley Elementary field.
The event is free and is open to the community to learn more about the school and meet the staff. Free food will be available.
The school is located at 1475 Marvin C. Zanders Ave., Apopka, on the south side of 18th Street.
“The Wheatley family hopes to see you there,” a school spokesman said.
Latricia Pinder is the principal of Wheatley Elementary.
