The Billie Dean Community Center grand opening will be on Saturday, December 21, 9 a.m.-7:30 p.m. at Alonzo Williams Park, located on the corner of Hawthorne Avenue and M.A. Board Street. The building’s address is 225 M.A. Board Street.
The day will be packed with community activities starting with the Billie Dean Community Center dedication from 9 to 10 a.m., followed by a kickball tournament, face painting, bounce houses, a DJ, and free food from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The One Apopka Christmas Toy Drive is slated for 1-4 p.m., and a movie in the park from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
