LEONARD KEITH SMITH, 71, Sorrento, died Tuesday, April 24. Mr. Smith was born in Danville, Illinois. He was part of the U.S. Air Force and also a Vietnam veteran. Survivors: wife, Susan; siblings, Ruby Hale, Raymond, Elaine Larson. Loomis Family Funeral Home, Apopka.

STANLEY WINSTON HENNY SR., 90, Apopka. Mr. Henny was born in Jamaica. He worked as an Orange County Public Schools bus driver, retiring in 2005. He was member of the Apopka Jehovah’s Witnesses. Survivors: wife, Janet; siblings, Elaine, Cornell; children, Angela, Juliette; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.  Loomis Family Funeral Home, Apopka.

JOSEPH M. HEWITT, 95, Apopka, died Sunday, May 6. Mr. Hewitt was a retired chief master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He later retired as a stockbroker. He was born in Salem, New Jersey. He was a member of the Apopka Assembly of God. Survivors: wife, Dottie; daughters, Sharon, Dianne Marlene; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Veterans Funeral Care.

KENNETH WALTER KRAUSE, 30, Bonifay, formerly of Zellwood, died Saturday, May 5, in Panama City Beach. Mr. Krause was born in Kingston, Pennsylvania. He was a graduate of Apopka High School, Class of 2006. Survivors: parents, Tina May and Michael Dull, Zellwood, and the late Kenneth Krause Sr.; sisters, Justine Laney, Dawsonville, Ga., Jolene Patrou, Orlando; brother, Anthony, Apopka; two grandmothers.

RONALD C. MEST, 75, Zellwood, died Saturday, May 5. Mr. Mest was born in Reading, Pennsylvania. Survivors: wife, Bernice; children, Michele McNamara, Ronald M., Matthew S.; siblings, Richard, Robert, Patricia Moore; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. RAYMOND F. “ANDY” ANDERSON, 81, Mt. Plymouth, died Wednesday, May 9. Mr. Anderson was member of the U.S. Marine Drum and Bugle Corp in Washington, D.C. for nine years. He was member of Victory Church Apopka. Survivors: wife, Pat; sons, Mike, Jeffrey; daughters, Shelly Katz, Alesia Mixner, Lorri Tolliver, Terri Zeh, Laurie Maring.  

HOWARD EUGENE SHERMAN, 89, Apopka, died Wednesday, May 2. Mr. Sherman was born in Olean, New York. Loomis Family Funeral Home, Apopka.

GENEVA SMITH WOOTEN, 85, Apopka, died Tuesday, May 8. Mrs. Wooten graduated from Lakeland Kathleen High School Class of 1950. MARY ELLEN TATUM, 78, Jasper, died Friday, May 18. Mrs. Tatum was born in Tampa. She lived most of her adult life in Sorrento and worked at the State Bank of Apopka and retired from Bank of America in Zellwood.
