The 59th annual Apopka Art and Foliage Festival’s dates have been moved up one month, from the traditionally scheduled last weekend of April to Saturday and Sunday, March 28 and 29.
Although the dates shifted, the venue and times still remain the same: at Kit Land Nelson Park, 10 N. Forest Ave., Apopka, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The Apopka Art and Foliage Festival will offer arts and crafts from dozens of vendors. Students from Apopka schools will exhibit their work under a tent in a designated area of the park. Plant experts from local nurseries can assist attendees with selecting ideal plants for their homes and gardens. Green thumb experts known as plant doctors will assist attendees with questions about all things foliage. Bus tours will run on both festival days to take visitors to local agricultural and educational sites. From butterflies to wildlife conservation, attendees will receive quite an education about the many aspects of nature in the conservation area.
