Some of the best student artwork, music, agriscience exhibits with live animals and kite flying will be at the eighth annual Apopka Art and Jazz Festival.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 1, 9:30 a.m.– 4:30 p.m. at the Apopka amphitheater at the Northwest Recreation Complex.

Featuring the talent of Orange County students, the festival also raises funds for art programs.

The event includes musical performances by middle and high school jazz bands, elementary school choruses, and chamber music groups. Student and teacher art will be on display.

Food and drink will be available for purchase.

“While the event is a great fundraiser for Orange County schools’ cultural arts programs, it’s also a fun day for families,” said Christine Moore, District 7 School Board member who represents northwest Orange County including the Apopka area.

Tickets are $5. They can be purchased at participating schools and at the event entrance.
