MARY MARGARET CADY, 79, Apopka, died Wednesday, May 5. She was born in Iron Mountain, Michigan. Survivors: children, Richard, Wes; two grandchildren. Loomis Family Funeral Home, Apopka.

KAY A. HONAKER, 91, Longwood, died Saturday, May 1. Mrs. Honaker was born in Guthrie, Kentucky. She served as a teacher and was a member of Sanlando United Methodist Church. Survivors: sons, Charles, Lake Mary, Mark, Apopka, Dan, Melbourne; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

RICHARD T. BRENNAN JR., 52, Annapolis, Maryland, died Thursday, May 13. Mr. Brennan was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, and grew up in Apopka and Orlando, graduating from Apopka High School in 1986. He received a civil engineering degree at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. He also received a master’s degree in ocean mapping from the University of New Hampshire. He joined the National Oceani and Atmospheric Administration Officer Corps in 1992 and was promoted to rear admiral, director of coast survey weeks before his death. In 2020, he was elected president of the Hydrographic Society of America. Survivors: wife, Tracey; sons, Ty, Sam; parents, Lois, Richard, Apopka; sisters, Lara, Cindy, both of Apopka, Mary Boyd, Canton, Georgia. MICHAEL BARRY SHARPE, 74, Apopka, died Monday, May 3. Mr. Sharpe was born in Lake City, Tennessee. He joined the U.S. Air Force and moved to Florida in 1971. He was a network engineer for United Telecom. He had many hobbies, including photography. Survivors: daughter, Carla Firlotte; brother, Terry; two grandchildren.

JAMES A. CAMPBELL, 77, Apopka, died Sunday, May 16. Mr. Campbell was born in St. James, Jamaica. Survivors: children, Paul, Patrick; siblings, Patrick, Jimmy, Carol, Mackie; two grandchildren. Loomis Family Funeral Home, Apopka.

KENNETH DELL HART, 79, Apopka, died Thursday, May 6. Mr. Hart was born in Newberry. A graduate of Apopka High School, he served as an air traffic controller in the U.S. Air Force, working at McCoy/Orlando International Airport for 28 years. He had several hobbies, including fishing. NORMAN KARL HICKMAN, 57, Sorrento, died Sunday, May 16. Mr. Hickman was born in Orlando. JOHN T. STANLEY, 93, Apopka, died Wednesday, May 5. Mr. Stanley was born in Madisonville, Kentucky, and moved to Apopka in 2010 after living in Orlando since 1971. He owned J&L Hardware in Orlando for 27 years, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Orlando. Survivors: wife, Georgia; three daughters; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. ROBERT JASAK, 72, Gainesville and formerly of Apopka, died Tuesday, April 27. Mr. Jasak was born in Fulton, New York. He served two years in the U.S. Navy. He was an electrician. Survivors: daughters, Cassie Barber, Apopka, Amanda Bush, Gainesville; five grandchildren.

LAURIE ELIZABETH RUSSELL, 80, Apopka, died Sunday, May 2. She was born in Flower Garden, Belize. She was faithful in studying the Bible and attending church. JERRY INNIS, 79, Apopka, died Saturday, April 24. Born in Columbus, Ohio, he moved to Apopka in 1979. Mr. Innis was a member of First Baptist Church of Zellwood. Survivors: wife, Norma; children, Jerry II, Allen, Cindy; one grandson.

MARISSA LYNN WILLIAMS, 35, Apopka, died Saturday, April 24. Ms. Williams was born in Brunswick, Ga. She graduated from Rollins College in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science. She was the project director for Cambrian Foundation. Survivors: mother, Tatia; sister, Amber; grandfather, Kent.

VASCO LAMAR WATTERS, 74, Mount Dora, died Wednesday, April 28. Mr. Watters was born in Orlando and grew up in Apopka, graduating from Apopka High School where he played football. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Mount Dora, and was active in the Mount Dora community. Survivors: wife, June; daughter, Kim Sasser, Mount Dora; Ben, Hillsborough, North Carolina; brother Dwight, Celina, Tennessee; two granddaughters. Allen J. Harden Funeral Home, Mount Dora.

PAULA JOHNSON HALL, 70, Canton, North Carolina, died Tuesday, April 27. She was a native of Baltimore, Maryland and was retired as a bank teller. She was a member of Crestview Baptist Church, Canton.
