ROBERT STANLEY ROSEN, 85, Apopka, died Saturday, December 11. Mr. Rosen was born in New York City. He was a retired captain in the U.S. Navy, serving from 1958 to 1988. He received several medals while in the Navy. Mr. Rosen graduated from Columbia College, Navy Postgraduate School, George Washington University, and the University of Central Florida. He was active and supported the Apopka Rotary Club and the Foliage Sertoma Club of Apopka. Survivors: wife, Annette C.; children, Laura Martin, George; two grandchildren. KAREN LEE BARRETT, 71, Zellwood, died Sunday, December 5. Mrs. Barrett was originally from Wellsburg, West Virginia. She was a longtime member of the Liberty Lighthouse Church of God of Mount Dora. Mrs. Barrett enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, gardening, and reading. She also enjoyed traveling. GERALD DAY RICHARDSON SR., 75, Apopka, died Tuesday, December 7. Mr. Richardson was born in Orlando. He graduated from Apopka High School and joined the U.S. Air Force, serving in Okinawa. He later attended mortuary school and worked for several funeral homes in Central Florida, including Hoequist Bray Funeral Home, Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home, Loomis Family Funeral Home, Collison Funeral Home, and Baldwin-Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Richardson was a member of the Apopka Rotary Club where he was a Paul Harris Fellow, Apopka Elks Lodge #2422, life member of VFW Post 10147, life member of Apopka Historical Society and Museum of Apopka. He was a big NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching college and professional football.
