JOSEPH F. KING, 75, Apopka, died Sunday, December 13. Mr. King was born in Florala, Alabama. He served in the United States Army. SUE ELLEN JONES, 70, Oak Hills, died Saturday, December 19, from COVID-19. Mrs. Jones was born in Apopka. She was a faithful Christian who sang with the Ranch Hand Band. Mrs. Jones and her husband John formerly owned and operated Crestview Foliage, Inc. of Zellwood. Survivors: husband, John; daughters, Julie, Ashley, Jenna; five grandchildren. JACQUELINE CECELIA HAYES, 90, Zellwood, died Tuesday, November 24. Mrs. Hayes was born in Dayton, Ohio. She graduated from Ohio State University in 1950 and had a master’s degree in science from Rollins College. She had a career as an elementary school teacher for 30 years. Survivors: daughters, Ellen, Marcella, Sheryl; son, Michael.

LILLIAN “FAYE” HOLLEY, 60, Apopka, died Tuesday, December 1. Ms. Holley was born in Charleston, South Carolina. Survivors: father, Bobby Pye; children, Christine Holley, Kimberly Caballero, Ashley McDougald, Michael Holley; spouse, Craig Le May; siblings, Barbara Jean Phillips, Cynthia Lockaby; eight grandchildren. NORMA B. CHANNELL, 84, Zellwood, died Sunday, December 6. Norma was born in Gadsden, Alabama and moved to Zellwood at age 12. She graduated from old Lakeview High of Winter Garden. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Apopka for 40 years and recently First Baptist Church of Mt. Dora. Norma retired from the U.S. Post Office. REGINALD F. MORSE, 86, Zellwood, died Monday, December 14. Mr. Morse was born in Wales, United Kingdom. He is survived by four cousins in England. Loomis Family Funeral Home, Apopka.

JEFFREY ALAN WIRZMAN, 60, Apopka, died Friday, December 4. Born in Hillsborough, New Jersey, he moved to Apopka in 1998. He was an Eagle Scout from Troop 186. He retired from the Somerset County Dept. of Public Works in 1998. Survivors: siblings, sister, Jacki Wirzman Sandler, Apopka; brothers, Jamie Wirzman, Tyler, Texas, Jerald Wirzman, Hillsborough, N.J., Joel Wirzman, Palm Coast. RUSSELL WADE AXSOM JR., 36, Apopka, died October 27. Russell was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a graduate of Apopka High. He worked for 20 years at All Transmission World. EVELYN E. GILLIARD, 88, Apopka, died Tuesday, December 1. Ms. Gilliard was born in Apopka. Survivors: children, Jimmy Gilliard, Betty Smith, Donnie Gilliard, Connie Gilliard; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren. Loomis Family Funeral Home, Apopka.

MICHAEL JOHN HEATON, 73, Apopka, died Wednesday, December 2. Mr. Heaton was born in Detroit, Michigan. He was an Eagle Scout and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Survivors: wife, Debbie; sons, David, Jeremy; brother, Thomas; sister, Barbara Boyd; stepdaughter, Rachel Ward; stepson, Ryan Ward; nine grandchildren. Mr. Heaton owned and operated an air conditioning and heating business, and was a member of the Corvette Club of Orlando. He was a member of Errol Estate Country Club where he enjoyed golf and tennis. Due to the COVID pandemic, a funeral at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell is planned for the future.

JOYCE A. COTTERMAN, 77, Apopka, died Friday, December 4. Mrs. Cotterman was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio. Survivors: son, Kevin; siblings, Betty Stengel, Fred Yoder. She was a member of Apopka Calvary Church of the Nazarene. Loomis Family Funeral Home, Apopka.

LARRY WAYNE MONDS, 66, Zellwood, died Friday, November 20. Mr. Monds was born in Quincy. He attended Apopka High School and Valencia College. Survivors: wife, Pamela, daughter, Desiree Rice; sisters, Janie Bentley, Amy Daly. His career was in music as a drummer, vocalist, and songwriter. He served in the Marine Corps Band in Hawaii.
